Paul Hobbs Winery seeks a proactive and success-driven individual to join its sales team. The Regional Manager participates in sales goals and is fully responsible for its execution, brand development and profitability. The territory markets are TN, AL, IN, KY, MI, MS,OH, SC

Examples of responsibilities (not limited to those listed below):
Distribution / sales management:
- Manages all regular and appropriate communication required to achieve accomplishment of the Company sales goals. Oversees administration of Company’s brand standards, pricing, programming, and DA support.
- Oversees inventory/depletions, account base quality and points of distribution (PODS).
- Maintains all platforms, tools, and applications essential for effective and efficient operation (i.e., software, communication, organizational, calendars, and travel management, etc.).
Business: Is the primary business manager for assigned territory. Involved in budget build and oversees management of P&L, inventories, pricing/programming, DA support, T&E, samples, incentives, wholesaler bill backs invoices.
Account target lists: Builds strong professional relationships with all strategic trade partners in their territory. Maintains target account list and is in consistent communication and goal alignment with top management and trade partners.
Market knowledge: Monitors sales trends, follows account openings/closings, buyer and distributor personnel movements.
In-field brand education: Leads trade partners and consumers in tasting/educational experiences. Leads in-field new brand launches, brand messaging and education of distributor staff.
Specific qualifications & skills:
- Relational: Maintains good business relations with sales partners/clients. Excels at communicating the Company’s brand strategy and performance goals.
- Business: Successful business as measured by achieving POD and depletion goals, managing inventories, pricing, programs, etc. High-level organizational and time management competency. Strong sales analysis with the ability to use multiple data sources (examples: Nielsen, IRI,VIP etc.) to make educated strategic decisions.
- Wine service & knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of wine including history, making, commercialization. A master at protocols and procedures of fine wine service (i.e., wine dinners, shows, seminars, various tastings, etc.)
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, efficiently.
- Attitude: Cheerful, positive, considerate, creative, competitive, professional demeanor.
- Success drive / work ethic: Self-starter, able to manage rapidly changing priorities. Capable of working well under pressure. Anticipates, prepares, adapts, curious, organized, intuitive, relentless drive to excel.
Basic job requirements:
- Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years progressive work experience with demonstrated 3-tier distribution success within the luxury brand wine segment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, and VIP.
- Wine credentials such as CMS, SWE, WSET certifications.
- Flexibility to work weekends and off hours when needed.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., or a 9L case of wine
- Good driving record. Ability to travel domestically via any mode of public transport. Expected to travel throughout the year to key markets in the region.
