Full time position: Schedule Monday - Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm, Friday - Weekends needed when necessary.

 


POSITION SUMMARY

A production Supervisor is responsible for coordinate all functions regarding production planning, production equipment, directing and training production operators, ensuring schedules are followed and standards are met. Resolves emergencies, complex problems, and work-flow stoppages. Works with all employees to problem-solve and identifies areas of improvement across the plant. Support, build, and promote a positive and collaborative culture across all teams.

 


KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Establish and adjust work schedule to meet shipping deadlines. Assist Plant Manager and Production Manager with scheduling based on equipment/machine availability.
  • Able to develop set-up and operation procedures for the following equipment: blenders, tablet presses, encapsulators, metal detectors, dedusters, and all other accessory equipment involved in production operations
  • Assist management in hiring, terminating, and performance reviews of all production personnel. Maintain employee time sheets, document/track attendance, and approve time off appropriately in assistance to Production Manager.
  • Ensure production personnel’s training is complete and current. Ensure proper documentation.
  • Able to assist leads and operators in trouble-shooting equipment and help resolve work-related problems.
  • Able to oversee maintenance on production equipment. Ensure proper documentation.
  • Complete daily processing paperwork in neat, accurate, and timely manner. Report metrics for run rates, yields, and losses. Perform basic math calculations utilizing a calculator.

  • Able to participate in audits as relates to production department in assistance to the Production Manager.
  • Must have good attendance while being able to work extra and/or flexible hours.
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments as to product/order status to aid in order fulfillment process while maintaining quality standards.
  • Utilize Redzone for communications, issues and create ideas/issues, elevate actions to manager if needed. Close out the rest.
  • Coach operator and leads to improve Redzone huddles.
  • Suggest ways to improve productivity and efficiencies.

  • Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
  • Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
  • Maintain good attendance.
  • Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the team's compliance with the Occupational, Health and Safety system.
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring the effectiveness of those actions within the organization’s Occupational, Health and Safety system.
  • Manage incidents, including conducting investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace to prevent accidents and health hazards.

 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUACTION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certificate in the following areas is preferred; Kaizen, Kanban, Lean.
  • Two or more years’ experience
