The Product Owner of Website Technology will be responsible for overseeing and evolving the platforms that power IDEXX’s global digital content and online experiences.
Sitting at the intersection of technology and marketing, you will drive the strategy behind how IDEXX website technologies are leveraged to create meaningful, personalized experiences for our current and prospective customers. Your work will be a blend of technical know-how, strategic thinking, and close collaboration with various stakeholders.
As an ideal Product Owner candidate, you will possess a strong background in digital development, particularly in the realms of designing digital experiences, overseeing content management systems, and executing a well-optimized platform strategy that enables globally scalable content delivery.
With a proven history of defining and delivering on technology roadmaps, you will drive IDEXX’s adoption of new and existing website technology and marketing processes.
What you will do:
Drive CMS Strategy and Roadmap Development :
Conduct global research on customer and system user needs with internal and third-party partners to identify actionable insights that will inform IDEXX’s website capability development strategy.
Define a platform strategy and vision for our global CMS, personalization, and optimization systems, ensuring it aligns with IDEXX business objectives.
Convert platform vision into an actionable product roadmap and then progressively deliver in partnership with the technical delivery team, continually advancing our CMS technology and operational practices.
Manage and Prioritize the Development Backlog :
Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog in line with the defined roadmap and digital marketing objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the backlog is always well defined and ready for the next development sprint.
Collaborate with Stakeholders :
Work closely with marketing, IT, and other business teams to gather and refine requirements for technical development, process changes, and adoption.
Ensure technical development teams understand the needs of end-users and the broader business context for building digital capabilities.
Partner with the digital marketing operations team to ensure enterprise content management systems are leveraged in the most appropriate way.
Consult with the digital marketing strategy team to design and build new digital experiences that optimally leverage our platforms and maximize content marketing opportunities.
Manage IDEXX’s Website Technology :
Oversee the management of IDEXX’s global CMS, personalization, and optimization platforms, systems, and tools.
Work to integrate these website platforms seamlessly with the broader digital marketing technology stack, ensuring consistency and maximizing their utility.
Establish platform health, time-to-market, and customer experience KPIs that will demonstrate tangible improvements through roadmap deliverables.
Champion the User Experience:
Always keep the end-user in mind, ensuring that all initiatives, features, and functionalities serve to enhance their experience with our platforms.
What you need to succeed:
Passion for delighting customers and technology users with exceptional experiences delivered through efficiently built and managed website technologies.
Deep understanding of digital platforms, enterprise CMS systems, and personalization tools, with the ability to stay ahead of evolving web technologies and trends.
Ability to think long-term, connecting the dots between business objectives, IDEXX user needs, customer experiences, and technology capabilities. Then, translating those insights into actionable strategies and roadmaps.
A history of successful platform or product launches, showcasing your ability to manage from conceptualization through to execution.
Solid experience working in agile environments, managing sprints, and prioritizing development backlogs. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools will be essential.
Demonstrated history of working seamlessly with cross-functional teams, from IT professionals to marketers, ensuring alignment in objectives and delivery.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to convey complex technical information in a way that's easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead, inspire teams, and drive change. Strong decision-making skills, even in the face of ambiguity, and the capability to navigate complex organizational structures.
