Job Description


Summary

The Procurement Manager for Food and Beverage will support and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and negotiation of materials, equipment, supplies and services within the Food and Beverage scope of the organization. This individual will plan, organize, advise, increase efficiencies, help direct when asked, communicate, and support activities related to the procurement functions to support Food and Beverage outlets across the organization and ancillary businesses.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $80,312 - $96,374. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports chefs and managers in assisting with all food and beverage procurement needs.
  • Supports F&B stakeholders with research into options and providing necessary information to make best decisions in a timely manner.
  • Analyze usage reports to assure best pricing through vendors.
  • Have knowledge of supplier ordering systems. Communicate out to teams.
  • Assists Chefs in analysis and maintaining/lower budgeted food/controllable costs.
  • Weekly communications to key F&B stakeholders on updates of projects, trends and needed tasks.
  • Communicate with suppliers and Aspen One teams to ensure consistent delivery times, price and product availability to match the needs of our business.
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports relative to the assigned departments.
  • Evaluates vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service, making advisements based on information learned.
  • Helps to design, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements in the assigned areas of responsibility such as inventory management
  • Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
  • Works with the Managing Director to review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Works with the Managing Director to prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
  • Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors for Food and Beverage and ancillary businesses.
  • Attends meeting with leadership teams for F&B on a regular basis
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement or related field
  • Five years’ experience in Procurement or related experience within F&B operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Purchasing software, and any inventory software
  • Experience purchasing and working with a variety of food, packaging, trays, containers, film applications, printing, etc.
  • Experience taking the lead on projects with the ability to present updates and final result.
  • Must be able to multitask and juggle competing priorities while staying organized.
  • Ability to work within budget constraints.
  • Ability to influence suppliers and cost reductions.

Supervision given and received
Supervision given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision received Works under general supervision of Managing Director of Procurement. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
