Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our photography business as an Operations Manager. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing various operational aspects of the business, ensuring smooth workflow management, efficient client communication, and effective coordination within the photography team. Additionally, they will be involved in managing the rental photo studio and maintaining its cleanliness and functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Photography Team Schedule Management:Create and maintain the photography team schedule.

Coordinate with photographers to ensure availability and assign jobs accordingly.
Communicate scheduling updates to photographers promptly and efficiently.

  • Client and Photographer Communication:Interact with clients to gather job requirements, answer inquiries, and provide necessary information.

Liaise with photographers to communicate job details, client expectations, and any changes or updates.
Ensure effective communication channels are in place to facilitate smooth workflow and client satisfaction.

  • Photo Delivery and Organization:Manage the workflow of photos delivered from photographers, ensuring proper categorization and organization.

Maintain an online photo archive, organizing and tagging images for easy retrieval.
Oversee quality control and ensure timely delivery of edited photos to clients.

  • Rental Photo Studio Management:Assist in the management of the rental photo studio.

Ensure the studio is clean, well-stocked, and presentable for upcoming rentals.
Restock the fridge, rearrange furniture, and manage trash removal.
Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the studio's functionality and client experience.

  • Online Booking System:Manage the automated online booking system for the rental studio.

Monitor bookings, ensure accuracy, and address any technical issues.
Provide support and assistance to clients with the booking process as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operations management or a related role, preferably in the photography industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism and clarity.
  • Proficiency in using online scheduling tools and photo management software.
  • Familiarity with photography equipment, terminology, and post-production processes.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and make sound decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under time constraints.
  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with photographers, clients, and colleagues.
