A Microsoft Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. They ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud infrastructure and services to meet organizational needs. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain Azure resources and provides technical expertise in cloud architecture and operations.

Required Certification

Years of Experience

1. At least four (4) years of experience of Windows Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange online, O365, Azure cloud technology, a high-level understanding of server and cloud security concepts, desktop applications and operating systems, VMWare virtualization in Data Centre, maintenance support and administration of production MS SQL database servers, strong scripting, and automation experience.

Required Skills

1. Microsoft Azure: Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
2. Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
3. Networking: Proficiency in Azure networking services (e.g., Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute).
4. Identity and Access Management: Experience with Azure Active Directory, Identity Protection, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
5. Security: Knowledge of Azure security services (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel).
6. Automation: Skills in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
7. Monitoring and Logging: Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
8. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Ability to design and implement HA/DR solutions in Azure.
9. DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
10. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
11. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder communication.

Functional Responsibilities

1. General knowledge of Networking fundamentals, and overall knowledge of other IT infrastructure technologies (networks, operating systems, virtualization platforms, databases, and middleware systems). Responsibilities include, but not limited to, design and deployment of cloud infrastructure solutions for BEP customers. Manage the Microsoft infrastructure - related projects for BEP customers.
2. Design and implement the Microsoft cloud related technologies within BEP on schedule while satisfying the customer’s requirements. Collaborate with software developers and hardware engineers to develop strong interpersonal skills and evaluate change options for their company's information technology systems as a team.
3. Analyze current state and design the target solution according BEP requirements.
4. Present the proposed solution to the stakeholders and project sponsors. Implement, configure, and migrate technologies and data according to designed final architecture.
5. Provide additional support to the client operating teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
