Responsible for quality assurance, design improvement and new development of company’s renewable energy battery products and systems by utilizing knowledge and principles of mechanical engineering theory and materials properties.  Review supplier’s manufacturing processes and quality systems. Perform quality inspection for critical component and review operating system. 

Anticipate potential failures due to design, manufacturability, and process control and implement a resolution with suppliers.  Determine root cause of supplier quality problems and coordinate/implement effective and timely resolutions. 

Lead supplier meetings and discuss part critical characteristics and required process controls.  Provide technical assistance in developing a quality system or other technical support as required.   Perform routine surveillance audits and monitor supplier performance.  Perform related duties.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
