Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Status: Direct Hire, In-Office FT

The Mechanical Design Engineer role is responsible for the following:

-Designing power transmission equipment and metal fabrication

-Selecting proper bearings, seals, gears, pulleys, and other shafting items for the particular application as it applies to equipment

-Ability to develop machine specifications and quotes from customer information, RFQ’s and customer specifications

-Using ASME code (not mandatory) as it applies to pressure vessel design

-Familiarity with different types of steels and alloy metals and metal fabrication

-Organizational skills as it may relate to the design and processing of concurrent multiple jobs for different customers

-Work with customers on different projects at the same time

Qualifications:

-Experience with Hydraulic cylinders, valves and general control circuits

-Experience with Pneumatic cylinders, valves and general control circuits

-Experience with all types of welding (stick, MIG, TIG, and submerged arc) of steels and stainless steel

-Experienced AutoCAD and Inventor 2020/2021 user with possible experience with Autodesk mechanical simulation/ 2020/2021 NASTRAN a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
