SheConnects DC is a new community designed to bring women in the DMV area together through curated events, fun experiences, and meaningful connections. From brunches and fitness outings to networking mixers and creative workshops, we’re here to foster friendships and create memorable experiences for women of all backgrounds.

Position Overview

SheConnects DC is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing & Event Curator to join our team! This commission-based role is perfect for someone with a passion for event planning, social media marketing, and community building. As a Marketing & Event Curator, you will help plan, promote, and execute various events, each geared towards building a vibrant community of women. Your efforts will directly impact the growth of our community and the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the SheConnects DC team to curate and plan exciting, unique events throughout the DMV area

- Develop and execute creative marketing strategies for social media, email, and other digital platforms

- Build relationships with local vendors, influencers, and sponsors to enhance event experiences

- Oversee event logistics, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion

- Track and analyze the success of marketing campaigns and suggest improvements

- Engage with our community online and in-person to promote events and foster connections

Requirements

- Experience in event planning, social media marketing, or community engagement

- Strong communication and organizational skills

- Familiarity with the DMV area and a passion for creating fun, inclusive events

- Ability to work independently and bring creative ideas to the table

- Flexibility to work on a commission basis

Compensation

This role is commission-based. You will earn a percentage of the profits from each event you help curate and promote. Our commission structure is designed to reward team members for their efforts in marketing, ticket sales, and vendor partnerships.
