Job Description:

Hankin Group has an excellent opportunity available for a Marketing Director.

The Marketing Director will plan, direct, and coordinate Corporate and Apartment marketing and advertising initiatives for the company. This position will contribute to brand awareness and profitability goals through traditional marketing channels as well as new and emerging digital technologies. Additionally, the Director will cultivate a vibrant Town Center community with seasonal events.

Job responsibilities include:

Drives strategy, plan, and execution of marketing initiatives for Hankin portfolio and oversees Marketing Team including Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing and Events Specialist.

Develops, manages, implements, and evaluates the marketing strategy for Hankin Apartments while working closely with Vice President of Hankin Apartments, Regional Managers and Site Teams. Includes stabilized and lease up communities.

  • SEO and PPC Strategy and oversight with in-house team and 3rd party vendors.
  • Yardi/Rent Café web site creation, updates, and maintenance.
  • Manage photography and video for all digital landscapes.
  • Marketing reporting and analysis for all properties for stake holders, vendor relations, budgeting, etc.
  • Social Media strategy, training and roll out to site teams, handling initial social media during lease-ups.
  • Oversees brand initiatives as needed including signage, promotional materials, digital and print.
  • Prepare and monitor all marketing budgets for the portfolio.

Responsible for the planning, organizing and implementations of Town Center events (concerts, movie nights, and festivals), corporate events (engagement events health fairs, day of service, etc.), Political events (Ground breakings and Grand Openings) and tenant appreciation events.

Keep external stakeholders informed of company practices, business decisions, and programs which impact the community. Build stakeholder loyalty and satisfaction by responding with urgency to requests and concerns.

Ensure outreach initiatives comply with company branding guidelines.

Collaborate with Commercial Leasing department regarding press related needs for new business openings.

Manage, monitor and evaluate corporate and commercial social media platforms, posting and engaging regularly, ensuring content is cohesive with property branding and goals.

Create and maintain targeted and relevant online content for corporate websites, social media and advertising.

Create, manage, and evaluate email marketing campaigns for Hankin Apartments, Hankin Group and Town Center brands.

Promote local search and search engine optimization, maintaining content on company’s website.

Assist departments, including Development, with proposals, presentations, and supporting collateral for executive and pitch meetings.

Manager all Public Relations for Hankin Apartments and Hankin Group

Applicant requirements:

  • 10+ years of related work experience in a Marketing role, in similar industry required.
  • 5 + years of apartment marketing experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Ability to prepare detailed presentations for senior leaders and others.
  • Proficient in Yardi/Rent Café, Power Point, Canva, SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, adwords, etc.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong personal leadership, organizational and relationship building skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently: displays self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to recruit good outside marketing consultants to prepare creative work.
