Job Summary: The Balm In Gilead, Inc. is a 35 year old, national non-profit health promotion organization that mobilizes faith communities to respond to racial health disparities. The organization is seeking an experienced and talented Marketing Communications Manager who will be responsible for implementing the daily operations of the Marketing Communications department. The ideal candidate must be very organized; a great writer, editor, and proofreader; and well-versed in marketing communications tech methods.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.
Manage the organization’s communications channels, including the website, podcast, YouTube channel, and mass emails.
Write, edit, and proofread materials for organization’s channels, and for media outreach.
Monitor tactics to measure their effectiveness.
Manage consultants and vendors.
Requirements:
1. Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and communication strategies.
2. At least eight years’ experience in marketing communications with at least 2 years’ experience managing campaigns across various communications channels.
3. Experience communicating health information to diverse audience segments using a variety of marketing channels.
4. Ability to craft engaging and persuasive content, edit own and others’ work, and proofread.
5. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to develop timelines and budgets.
6. Experience with digital marketing platforms, content management systems, and marketing automation tools, including Constant Contact, Zoom Business, Canva, Web Press, Google
