Job Summary:

The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for managing campaigns from initial creation, to launch, to optimization for Capture’s clients. Campaign types include forms and ads on client websites, email marketing messages, landing pages, digital advertising, and direct mail.

The Marketing Campaign Manager is led by the Director of Client Marketing Services. They are part of the Client Marketing Services Team, which also includes the Content Team Lead, Design Team Lead, Graphic Designers, Writers, Digital Marketing Campaign Managers, and Editors.

The Marketing Campaign Manager works closely with the Project Manager, who is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management of their client portfolio.

The Marketing Campaign Manager owns these areas of the client experience:

  1. Campaign creation
  2. Campaign rework
  3. Campaign launches
  4. Campaign optimizations

Key Responsibilities:

CAMPAIGN CREATION: The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation of all campaign creative pieces for an assigned book of business.

They are expected to:

  1. Write short-form and long-form content
  2. Provide clear directions to all team members
  3. Meet all deadlines for campaign creation set by the Project Manager as part of their weekly sprint work
  4. Provide campaign direction feedback to the internal client team as needed to ensure optimal campaign setup and performance
  5. Maintain client content feedback notes within the Digital Asset Manager (Frontify)

CAMPAIGN REWORK: The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for implementing and tracking client change requests for campaigns.

This includes:

  1. Communicate directly with the client within the review and approval platform to confirm or seek clarity on rework requests
  2. Seek clarification from Project Manager or Senior Enrollment Advisor if the direct client feedback (mentioned above) is still unclear
  3. Work with the Graphic Designers to get client changes made and reviewed
  4. Track rework requests in the partner notes to ensure future campaigns do not require the client to request the same changes

CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES: The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for launching all campaigns.

This includes:

  1. Set up media, rulesets, run dates, etc. within the platform
  2. Update the project budget to show that the campaign has been launched
  3. Develop and maintain a mastery of BIP

CAMPAIGN OPTIMIZATION: The Marketing Campaign Manager is responsible for updating underperforming campaigns (campaigns performing in red based on established company benchmarks) using Capture best-practices and lessons learned from other campaigns throughout the year. The Project Manager is responsible for receiving the weekly triage and optimization emails, reviewing the campaigns, and putting in cards for the MCM for campaigns that need adjustments made.

This work includes:

  1. Adjust rulesets, design, content, etc.
  2. Suggest playbook changes or live-campaign changes based on similar campaigns with better results.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  2. Experience: Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience, focusing on marketing/communications. Ideally, they will have 2+ years of professional experience specifically in the higher education industry, focusing on higher ed recruitment and/or marketing.
  3. Skills: Strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and keep up with ongoing changes in technical systems, technical and creative writing, content editing, verbal and written communication skills, organized, process-oriented, strong attention to detail, adaptable, self-motivated, problem-solver, and analytical.
  4. Other Requirements: Must be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST Monday through Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of professional experience in the higher education industry, focusing on higher ed recruitment and/or marketing or 5+ years of campaign development experience within another industry.
  2. Experience using a workflow management system to complete work

Working Conditions:

This is a fully remote position, and you are expected to work from your home office. This role does require you to travel to Headquarters in Louisville, KY or to client sites as instructed by the manager or Executive Leader.
