The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the strategy, development, and execution of ArborGen’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts. This position supports the sales team, senior leadership, and other departments to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and organizational alignment. The Manager oversees all creative and operational aspects of communications, including content creation, campaign execution, vendor relationships, digital channels, sponsorships, and public relations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute ArborGen’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategy, including goals, KPIs, and annual planning.

· Manage content creation across all platforms - digital, print, video, email, website, and social media - to reflect brand identity and business objectives.

· Serve as the lead designer and editor for marketing materials, campaigns, signage, and presentations.

· Own and manage internal communication efforts, including company newsletters, announcements, and crisis messaging.

· Coordinate all event marketing, sponsorships, and trade show participation, including vendor relationships and logistics.

· Lead brand consistency efforts across the company, enforcing brand standards in all communications.

· Oversee and maintain ArborGen’s website and digital platforms; ensure SEO and content performance optimization.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Development, Operations, and other departments to develop compelling messaging and customer-facing content.

· Conduct market research, survey analysis, and reporting to inform decisions and track campaign performance.

· Manage CRM and email marketing systems (Salesforce and ActiveCampaign), ensuring effective outreach and reporting.

· Coordinate media relations and press coverage; write and distribute press releases and editorial content.

· Lead the creation of multimedia assets, including photography and video, for use in marketing and training.

· Maintain relationships with forestry associations, key industry groups, and partner organizations.

· Oversee marketing budget and vendor contracts to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Serve as a liaison with ArborGen Brazil’s marketing team and ArborGen Holdings for coordinated messaging, investor relations, and branding.

· Perform other duties as needed, including supporting the CEO and leadership team with presentations and communication initiatives.

Ongoing Interaction:

1. Department: Engage in daily interactions with the supervisor and sales staff.
2. Company: Regular interaction with peers in other departments across the company.
3. Outside Company: Representative of the company as a company and liaison for contractual/vendor matters.

Education/Experience/Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required

· 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or brand management

· Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

· Proven success developing and executing multichannel marketing strategies

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, CMS, CRM, and social media management tools

· Strong graphic design and layout skills

· Experience managing vendors, budgets, and timelines

· Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating cross-functionally

· Familiarity with SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and digital performance metrics

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

· Experience with Salesforce and/or ActiveCampaign preferred
