We are seeking a Maintenace and Engineering Manager to join the manufacturing team. As a Maintenance and Engineering Manager, you will be part of the managerial team supporting new machinary installation, TPM, and automation. The ideal candidate will have a maintenance and engineering background, project management experience, and food and beverage managerial experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Location: New Orleans, LA

Pay Range: 120,000 to 140,000

What’s the Job?

• Supports the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Sustainability goals in line with the site’s compelling business need
• Manages the work and performance of a technical team involved with the maintenance of the plant’s building and grounds, processing areas, and packaging lines using Total Productive Maintenance techniques
• Owns capital projects including renovations, expansions, and improvements. Becomes familiar with all projects and collects preliminary information to develop a team charter, perform cost analysis, and ensure team communication is in place
• Project Startup Leader, including startup plan development, project meetings, test plans, success criteria, training plans, vendor acceptance test, equipment turnover, and new item qualifications
• Owns Repair & Maintenance Budget Management ensuring profitability through maintenance and contractor cost management
• Develops strategic short and long term plans and ensures that procedures and score cards are in place to measure the teams success

What’s Needed?

• BA/BS in Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• 5+ years of maintenance experience within the consumer goods industry, preferably food and beverage manufacturing
• Sustained demonstrated leadership experience managing change within a department while building a high performing, energized team
• Management of capital projects through to successful completion
