We’re looking for a talented Backend PHP Developer to join our growing team!
You'll work with both our large, established OpenMage (Magento 1.9) e-commerce platform and help build out
new projects on a modern Laravel stack. This role involves working with legacy systems as well
as developing new applications and services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing
maintenance of a critical production platform with building innovative solutions for future growth.
Responsibilities:
● Support and enhance our highly customized OpenMage (Magento 1.9) e-commerce
platform.
● Develop new features, integrations, and internal tools using Laravel and modern PHP
practices.
● Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and operations teams to bring ideas to life.
● Help improve site performance, scalability, and reliability across our infrastructure.
● Identify opportunities to refactor, modernize, and strengthen our codebase over time.
● Designing and writing SQL queries for systems and reports.
Requirements:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP development.
● Professional experience working with Magento 1.9+ / OpenMage development and
Laravel.
● Solid understanding of MySQL databases and RESTful APIs.
● Comfort working with legacy codebases while embracing opportunities to build new
systems.
● Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.
● Experience with CSS, Javascript, and external dropship/fulfillment integration is a plus.
What Helps You Succeed Here:
● A balanced mindset: you know when to patch, when to rebuild, and when to leave good
enough alone.
● A genuine curiosity for how things work — and how to make them better.
● A willingness to dive into both legacy and new projects with the same level of care.
● An ability to think through both technical solutions and real-world business impacts.
● A drive to write clean, maintainable code — even when extending older systems.
● A reliable working style and attitude that teammates enjoy collaborating with.
