We are seeking a Machinist at Puckett MetalWorx, our custom metal fabrication company, located in Stringer MS.   We offer competitive compensation and benefits, specialized training, and a standard workweek schedule.  The Machinist is responsible for the operation of CNC machines, manual mills, and lathes to perform diversified progressive multi-tooled machining of custom and production parts and assemblies. This is an intermediate level skilled trade position working independently in a manufacturing setting.  The position reports to the Welding/Machining Supervisor. 

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Independently setup and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes to perform diversified progressive multi-tooled machining of custom and production parts and assemblies in accordance with all prescribed safety and quality standards. Perform operations such as turning, boring, and facing. Start and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required. 
• Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools, in accordance with all prescribed quality standards and procedures.
• Keep supervisor regularly apprised of status of assigned work and to report/resolve equipment or quality issues.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment in accordance with all prescribed contamination control protocols.
• Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times.
• Keep up to date with developments in machining, tooling, technologies and systems.
