Job Description:

Performs a variety of lending support functions for the consumer loan department and provides member service primarily for loan collateral related questions and issues.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answer incoming calls from members and credit union staff and provide information regarding titles and the lien filing processes and procedures.
  • Review all titling documentation for accuracy prior to submission to titling agency.
  • Prepare and process all titling documents through electronic vehicle registration program, DMV offices or Parks and Wildlife in timely manner. Obtain registration and tags when applicable.
  • Assist loan officers/loan processors with resolving any title issues.
  • Review and scan final title documentation receive from titling agency.
  • Keep tracking log of pending titles or title issues. Follow up on pending titles with dealerships and other financial institutions. Provide monthly updates of pending titles to VP of Lending.
  • Keep current with applicable laws through the DMV websites.
  • Monitor release of titles for paid-in-full loans.
  • Prepare reports and submit payments for premiums for credit life and disability, single interest, GAP and Auto Warranty coverage.
  • Process all member disability, death and GAP claims as well as warranty refunds and cancellations.
  • Review loan documents.
  • Monitor BVSCUs lienholder interest in member provided property & casualty insurance coverage.
  • Serve as back-up to receptionist at Administration as assigned.
  • Responsible for following all rules and regulations including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • A high school education or GED required.
  • Previous title filing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work regular full time hours.
  • Ability to work on-site at designated location.
  • Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Must be bondable

Ergonomic Considerations:

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
  • Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
  • Job includes some repetitive hand/wrist motions.
  • Ability to operate office machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
