The Lead Software Engineer (LSE) is responsible for the engineering excellence of 2 feature teams. This individual works on proof of concepts, investigation spikes, develops the architectural solution the teams need to execute on their work. Remove blockers, mentors all members in the feature teams. Works closely with all lead software engineers, architects, and engineering leaders to develop the plan for scalable, reliable, and secure implementations. This LSE would be primarily focused on VACCN modernization to the cloud as well as the development of our solution with Facets for VACCN claims.

Metrics: TPA is responsible for the cloud modernization efforts for the VACCN contract, including the build and implementation of using Facets for dental claims. Our commitment to our customer on the Facets implementation includes an expected production go-live in December 2025. Aside from the 13 feature teams currently in TPA, we are anticipating adding 3 more ready-made teams within the month of May that will require the technical oversight and leadership of the LSE role.

Skills: ·Key technical skills: web applications and RESTful web services; MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or other similar relational database management system; .NET Core, Angular, Azure DevOps.

· Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects

· Leading the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, deployment, and debugging of applications

· Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for them that helps them succeed in their business goals.

· Work closely with other lead engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

· Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.

· Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments.

· Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.

· Operational Excellence – build, deploy, monitor, and operation of production services.

· Mentoring, career management and development of dotted line reports within the teams aligned to you.

· Champion quality best practices and Test-Driven Development

· Lead adoption of Agile best practices

· Incident response – assist with troubleshooting and determining solutions for issues identified in war rooms

· E2E ownership from intake and refinement to deployment of production applications as well as monitoring and support.

· VACCN modernization efforts as well as the Facets dental claims project. Additionally the workload of leading the engineering feature teams will be stretched across the existing LSEs.
