This role is a combination of a Sr. Developer/Team Lead. Must be strong technically with a capability to be a potential architect as well as the ability to lead small teams. Will work with the Manager of Application Development to help manage the overall book of application development projects.

MUST Haves:

1. Position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Technology, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent experience
2. 7+ years experience with Java/JEE, Servlet/JSP, Spring/Struts, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/Ajax, XML, Web Services SOAP/REST, Hibernate, EJB
3. 2+ years experience at project/technical lead level leading a team of developers
4. 3+ years experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server
5. 3+ years experience with IBM WebSphere Portal and Content Management
6. Angular JS knowledge

Preferred Experience:

1. Production Mortgage Industry Experience
2. 4+ years experience at project/technical lead level leading a team of developers
3. 1-2 years of Angular JS experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

1. A developer responsible for leading a development project team(s)
2. Provide hands on development and mentoring as necessary for other members of the development team
3. Coding approximately 30% of the time
4. Define high level application designs
5. Establish technical vision and works with developers to turn it into reality
6. Work with various business owners to understand business needs
7. Ability to communicate to business in easy to understand non-technical terms
8. Translate business needs into technical specifications
9. Meet with business areas to explain technical capabilities of current platform
10. Meet with potential 3rd party integrators to understand possible future capabilities and integration points
11. Ability to delegate and get full productivity from development team
12. Ability to work on many projects in various stages concurrently
13. Ability to create visual representation of a technical solution
14. Broaden the technical abilities of the development team
15. Participate in robust debate on technical solutions along with Application Architects
16. Ability to create project plans and status reporting
17. Able to find a balance between doing it right and getting it done
18. Success is measured by the team’s success as much as the individual’s abilities
19. Maintain regular and punctual attendance
