We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead PHP-Laravel Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Elastic Search to lead the development of a new product pricing platform. This platform will serve as a central hub for the Marketing Department and play a critical role in the modernization of our overall technology infrastructure. As the Lead Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full development lifecycle, ensuring the platform is scalable, high-performing, and maintainable. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Product, and Engineering—to align technical solutions with strategic business goals. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape a key initiative within our evolving tech ecosystem.

As an Elastic & Laravel/Vapor Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining in-house built solutions using Laravel/Vapor & Elastic Search integrated with Azure, AEM and ETL Tool. You will work closely with our design and development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable and robust solutions to serve many front-end applications.

This position will be full-time onsite in Berlin, CT or New Haven, CT.

What Will You Be Doing

1. Lead daily stand-up meetings, provide technical direction, and mentor team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
2. Design data ingestion and consumption Apis at Laravel/Vapor.
3. Design and optimize Elastic indices based on business requirements
4. Built and designed utilities in Elastic console.
5. Integrate and optimize Elastic Search for high-performance search capabilities.
6. Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
7. Understand & secure Elastic Search clusters to protect data integrity and privacy.
8. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
9. Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
10. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features.

What Are We Looking For

1. Proven experience as a Laravel Architect or Lead.
2. Must have 7-10 experience as a Developer
3. Must hold 2-3+ years at the Principal level in order to be considered as a leader for this group.
4. Strong proficiency in PHP along with Laravel framework.
5. Must have some exposure or hands-on experience in working with Vapor for serverless deployment.
6. In-depth knowledge of Elastic Search and integrations with Laravel/Vapor.
7. Deep understanding of Elastic Search architecture, including cluster management and configuration.
8. Proven experience of designing Elastic Search based solutions with Open Source.
9. Proficiency in Elastic Search query language and plugins development.
10. Knowledge of integrating Elastic Search with other components of the Elastic Stack like Logstash, Kibana etc.
11. Extensive experience with Laravel configuration and projects deployments.
12. Experience with log debugging tools like rollbar.
13. Experience with version control systems (Git).

Preferred Skills

1. Industry-recognized certifications, such as the Elastic Certified Engineer, to validate skills and enhance professional standing.
2. Multiple projects designing experience with Laravel/Vapor
3. Familiarity with Docker or NixOS.
4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
