Job Summary
This role is a unique opportunity for you to design, develop, modernize, and maintains an enterprise information technology (IT) architecture framework to ensure integration of all technology components supporting the academic, research, and administrative programs of the institution.
 

  • You will be a technical architect and specialist for the support and improvement of the campus information systems infrastructure including hardware, software, operating systems, server virtualization, storage systems, and backup/recovery systems.
  • You will have the ability to architect technical roadmaps using future forward designs and emerging technologies to improve, automate and modernize the campus IT systems and processes.
  • Your role will include the planning, installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing of hardware, software, operating systems, storage systems and backup/recovery systems. With the goal of providing highly available, reliable, secure, cost effective, and innovative services for campus.
  • Will be able to leverage Windows Servers, Linux Servers, Cloud Services, High-Performance Computing Clusters, Active Directory Identity Systems, Scripting tools and various applications to architect and manage campus wide technology needs.



Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in data center, information system administration, or technical solution architecture



Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related field by date of hire
  • 4+ years of experience with data center system administration
  • Professional work experience with large enterprise storage, virtual, or back-up systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the application of IT project management disciplines and best practices
  • Prior work experience in a higher education environment
