BEPC is seeking a skilled Internal Communications consultant for the Multi-Media and Events Production Team in Newark, NJ!

W2 Contract Period: 9 months with possible opportunities for extensions based on business needs and performance!

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

To amplify our internal communications strategy and priorities in key communications channels, including through quarterly internal Global All Hands meetings and our new Intranet, we are seeking an experienced and creative show and video producer and editor, who can both manage the new dynamic of in-person/hybrid events and create professional quality yet quick videos and audio messages that can be amplified both internally and externally.

This role will report to the Head of Internal Communications within the Global Corporate Affairs team, and partner closely with the A/V, Facilities and Studios teams to ensure successful end-to-end event experiences for live, virtual and hybrid internal events and video/audio. This individual will utilize their technical, production, organizational and interpersonal skills to help prepare, test, and deliver successful communications events and compelling communications content.

    You are a self-starter with a strong background in technical event production, broadcast video and virtual platform solutions, who quickly builds effective working relationships and thrives in ambiguity with a solutions-oriented mindset. You have excellent business judgement and operate with a strong sense of urgency and commitment. You have a strong track record of producing high-quality events and crisp multi-media content, a demonstrated ability to work with confidential information, and an uncompromising eye for quality and detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

 

In this role you will:

  • Work cross-functionally and across Global Corporate Affairs to create and execute innovative internal communications events and content to help inform, engage and inspire employees.
  • Synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, concise, and relevant messages via video and audio, using your strong verbal and written communication and storytelling skills
  • Serve as a highly proficient operator who can proactively identify problems and demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism in this dynamic, fast-moving business-focused environment.

 

Internal communications event producer:

  •  Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the A/V and Facilities teams and external partners and vendors, to help shape and implement strategies for internal communications events, participate in pre- and post- production meetings with A/V on behalf of the internal comms team and advise on best-practices for execution.
    • Lead, coordinate and execute run of shows, directing and helping to manage cameras, microphones and interactivity during global internal communications events ie. videos, graphics, question and answer sessions, gamification and polling
    • Act as day-to-day producer for the internal communications team, responsible for the successful execution of planning and logistics; ensuring the highest quality event standards and providing frontline support across multiple events, as well as issues resolution in a timely matter
  • Assist A/V and all presenters with pre-production setup, ie. camera/laptop placement, lighting, audio and backdrops as well as troubleshooting technical difficulties, including attendees that have issues with getting on the platform, as necessary
  • Implement, maintain and update process and playbook for repeatability and scalability of event activations, including detailed project plans and deliverables

 

Video/audio production

  • Ideate, produce, and edit videos and audio for internal-facing audiences and channels as well as for potential external use when needed, including for social media and external website features
  • Help assist with other audio/visual content to be used in a variety of ways as time and bandwidth permit, such as day-in-the-life videos, impact stories, and other short-form videos
  • Provide expert guidance and direction on internal comms video content and editing and partner with the video production and studios teams as needed.
  • Use storyboards/mood-boards to communicate and conceptualize with stakeholders, and design assets for visual presentation
  • Post-production editing, audio tweaking, design content creation, and animating using Adobe Creative Cloud or other similar tools.
  • Establish, maintain and document appropriate processes, best practices, and tracking to ensure audio/video needs are delivered on time and in full

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of professional experience and a comfort level with both large hands-on live event and virtual/hybrid production, as well as video creation and editing
  • Bachelor’s degree - in film, media, production, marketing or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience with video/audio and design editing software as well as studio and live broadcast production technology and video and audio codecs and common deliverable formats
  • Comfort with various elements of video storytelling: storyboarding, on-site production, editing, motion graphics, and final packaging, and delivery.
      • Must have solid working knowledge of a/v equipment including digital video cameras, microphones, lighting systems, digital video playback systems, lighting/staging, video projection, webcasting technologies (live video/audio/content streaming)

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires a strong level of relationship building, deep interpersonal skills and knowledge of broadcast and live event production.
  • Editorial experience at a creative agency or in-house marketing team, as a video producer and editor and experience managing vendors and other third parties is preferred
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; flexible, process-oriented and able to manage constant flow of information from multiple sources
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proactive, responsive, positive and can-do attitude and willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done
  • Maintains a calm demeanor under pressure
