Job Description:

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance.

Responsible for the inventory, categorization, selecting security controls, and monitoring those security controls for the information systems in preparation of the Assessment and Authorization process for new and existing systems.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Information Assurance Analyst : $60 to $62.26 per hour

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

 

Information Assurance Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepares A&A documentation to include the following:
  • System Registration (in Departments inventory tool iMATRIX).
  • System Categorization Form.
  • System Security Plan.
  • Information System Contingency Plan.
  • Privacy Impact Assessment.
  • Control Implementation.
  • Implements NIST guidance that is pertinent to Risk Management Framework.
  • Conducts interviews with application and system developers to document system operation.
  • Assists application and system developers with documenting control implementation.
  • Conducts Plan of Action and Milestone review.
  • Conducts and coordinates annual control assessments and contingency plan tests.
  • Prepares the plan of action and milestones based on the findings and recommendations of the security assessment report excluding any remediation actions taken.
  • Builds weekly activity report and metrics slide.
  • Provides Information Systems Security Architecture/Engineering support as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Information Assurance Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Five (5) years of experience working with the Risk Management Framework and documenting systems in that process
  • Must understand Cloud Service Providers (Azure, AWS, ServiceNow).
  • Must have understanding of NIST 800-53.
  • Must have proficiency and understanding of FEDRAMP and the FEDRAMP process.
  • Must be a US citizen and possess an Active Secret clearance.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing (i.e. SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS).
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience with MS Visio to create network diagrams.
  • Must hold an IT Security-related certification.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
