An East Side Madison Construction Company, is now taking applications for a Payroll/Human Resources Accounting Assistant. In this role you will be the backup to assist the Payroll Assistant in the efficient operation of processing payroll. Perform duties related to processing company payroll, handing employee’s benefits as well as various Human Resources administrative responsibilities.
This is a full-time on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and includes a competitive wage and benefit package.
Payroll/HR Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
- HR – managing all non-union benefits such as, employee benefits, new hires, Cobra, FMLA, worker comp, and terminations. Also to maintain & update CDL Driver records to comply with FMCSA regulations.
- Back up assistance for the following:
- Process weekly payroll for 4 different entities including reviewing electronic timecards and entering timecard information as needed.
- Union Payroll
- Resolve discrepancies with supervisors and employees.
- Reconcile payroll related withholdings.
- Process Quarterly payroll reports.
- Produce and file various compliance reports.
- Other miscellaneous office support.

- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a human resources department and or payroll

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Sage 300 Construction & Accounting Software a plus
- HCSS Software – Heavy Job a plus
