Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

This position designs, develops, implements and assesses Human Resources development and training programs in support of the business plan. This position leads training efforts to support world-class efforts in salaried and hourly employee learning and development. It conducts needs assessments, aligns training requirements to business strategy, plans and develops methods and programs, and ensures effective implementation and follow up. This position will work in a project lead role pertaining to training initiatives with many cross functional areas, stakeholders, and may also manage outside providers of contracted services in project assignments. This position partners with Talent Management, Employee Learning, COE’s and site Human Resources teams as well as functional leadership to enable training’s alignment toward critical business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
 

  • Identifies needs, design and develop and implement adult training solutions including E-learning and measures results while working to deadlines.
  • Delivers effective learning technology to reduce learning cycle times.
  • Creates, or partners on the creation of, training manuals, training modules, and materials. Provides expertise to the creators of job aids.
  • Develops creative approaches to training evaluation.
  • Identifies and uses instruments and tools to analyze training requirements and recommends strategies for making needed changes.
  • Develops and deploys systematic evaluation processes and proposals for improvement to current training development and delivery processes – based on the needs of the respective internal or stakeholders - to improve efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility.
  • Employee is knowledgeable of “Best in Class” business practices for training solutions and use this knowledge to develop practices which meet or exceed this benchmark
     

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements
 

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to identify needs, design and source/develop and implement adult training solutions and measure results while working to deadlines.
  • Ability to employ effective learning technology to reduce learning cycle time.
  • Advanced teaching, facilitation, consulting, coaching, program development and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize instructional design principles and apply analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver training and development needs analyses, program development.
  • Knowledge of principles of training development & training effectiveness theories, philosophies and methods; organizational analysis, and change management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to negotiate and influence within a collaborative framework.
  • Demonstrated initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently and collaboratively; demonstrated ability to anticipate future trends/consequences and create innovative strategies and flexible plans.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
