Role Description:

As a Staff Software Engineering Tech Lead, you’ll play a key role in the hands-on development of high-performance software solutions that meet stringent safety requirements.

• You’ll work closely with engineers, taking on complex challenges directly while providing technical guidance.
• You will work as a liaison between management and the software, hardware and computer vision teams
• This position is technical, with 70-80% of your time dedicated to hands-on coding and solving engineering problems, and the remainder focused on driving best practices in architecture and innovation.
• You’ll also collaborate with the Computer Vision and Machine Learning teams to implement AI-powered solutions into their products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example, dedicating 70-80% of your time to hands-on coding in Python and Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Computer Vision and Machine Learning, to integrate AI/ML techniques into software solutions.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable software implementations for edge computing and distributed systems.
• Working directly with the Hardware team on projects involving the companies hardware product
• Own technology backlogs, actively drive the adoption of new technologies, and phase out outdated systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while maintaining a strong hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Deep proficiency in Python and Go.
• Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Extensive experience working with AWS.
• Background or prior experience in hardware
• Hands-on expertise in edge computing and large-scale distributed architectures.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality solutions in fast-paced startup environments.
• Ability to work closely with AI/ML teams to build and integrate intelligent software components.

Benefits:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you can expect $180,000 to $215,000 along with health, dental, and vision.
