Graphic Developer/Designer (Sr. CATIA v5 Designer)
Requirements:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- "Skillset Description/Overview 3D designer who is capable/efficient at taking conceptual design ideas/schemes (provided by engineers) and accomplishing the "specific design work" associated in producing "build-to-print" digital models/drawings.
- The specific design work would involve (but may not be limited to) producing detailed
- part models/drawings, installation models/drawings, hardware selection and bill of material creation.
- The designer would be embedded in the design team and be onsite with the engineers for a min 3 days per week and could/would work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform, autonomously, engineering support assignments that are routine to moderately difficult in accordance with specific instructions and established procedures.
- Develop solutions to a wide range of moderate technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.
- Review and interpret design data of aircraft structures and develop quality design solutions.

- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from supervision.
- Applied knowledge of design documentation, techniques and procedures.
- Ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform work activity tasks in an organized manner with minimal direction once sufficient training has occurred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bill of material systems.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Dependable, self-motivated and accessible.
- A strong computer background, including MS Office application experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Proven skills in CATIA v5 or later environment.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Working Conditions / Physical Demands:
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
- Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
- Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
- Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
- Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to work on in the wing or center box in a confined space. Entrance into wing by a 9.8 inch x 17.7 inch oval opening. Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom
- shelves.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
- Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces."
