We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) to lead our marketing efforts and drive the growth of the Girls Scouts Louisiana East (GLSA) brand. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing and communications strategies across various channels. As CMCO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, advertising sales, e-commerce, content marketing and media activities. Your leadership will be crucial in enhancing our market presence and achieving our business objectives.
Responsibilities Overview
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to increase brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media marketing, email campaigns, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Manage advertising sales efforts across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead e-commerce strategies to optimize online sales performance and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with product management teams to align marketing strategies with product launches and enhancements.
- Create and manage content marketing initiatives to position the brand as a thought leader in the industry.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Foster a collaborative environment among cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
-Responsible for related duties in administrative, content, media, crosss-department and external collaboration, data collection and records management.
Requirements Overview
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is required; master’s degree is preferred.
-10+ years of proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably as a CMCO or similar position including 5+ years in planning and execution and 3+ years supervirosy experience.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, PPC, social media, and content marketing.
- Experience in advertising sales and print advertising is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and best practices for driving online sales.
- Proficiency in website management and content updates.
- Basic understanding of HTML for website modifications is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Advanced aptitude in effective research methods (e.g., internet, surveys, focus groups), and data collection and management (e.g., Salesforce).
-Advanced aptitude and experience and some pre-press knowledge in design and brochure layout (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
-Excellent written, oral and audio/visual techniques and communication skills including the ability to create, write, proof and edit content and speak publicly with diverse individuals and groups, and effective organizational and multi-tasking abilities among others.
