URBAN COWBOY LODGE- EVENTS COORDINATOR
The Urban Cowboy Lodge is looking for someone to help grow its Events Program. This is someone that wants to commit to building on what has been started, creating more and also growing along with all of that in the process. We are hoping that you are open to continuous reflection, want feedback and apply a critical eye to create what we need or recalibrate what we have regarding events. You will be continuously learning what works and what doesn t and improving, but then who wouldn t want that? You will find the opportunity for fresh takes on events and experiences we haven t thought of before. It s like that quote you can t solve problems by using the same thinking that created them.
REPORTS TO:
UC Events Director for events communication and execution and Hotel GM for overall property questions, day to day functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Queries: Field all initial inquiries pertaining to Events at the Urban Cowboy Lodge. Events would include, but are not limited to corporate or leisure groups, shoots, productions, special bookings or events and all bookings over six rooms or require dedicated staff or space outside of normal operations.
Production: Manage the Pre-Production and Execution of all events. Coordinate production/execution with the appropriate team members.
Responsibilities: Organized communication with potential clients; Remote and Onsite work including; In person coordination for events; Collecting and processing payments; And coordinating staffing appropriately for events.
Buyouts + Large Events: Coordinate with property GM and Restaurant Manager to execute buyouts and large events. Ensure that clients needs are met in every aspect; ensuring each event is delivered according to our brand and service standards. Complete each event from start to finish, including clean up.
Systems: You will be working with Carly & Chuck to uphold standards, systems and sustainability of the Events Program at the Lodge. In execution of events you will work with the entire Lodge team.
Seasonal: Get creative when it comes to making each property and outlet successful year round.
INTENTION OF GROWTH
Our intention with this role is to develop events at the Lodge into a sustainable and enjoyable practice that increases profitability for everyone and ignites the property in new, different and creative ways. The track for growth includes moving into a sales coordinator as well, working with the Head of Events to vet, communicate, and properly book events.
COMPENSATION
In exchange for your duties you will receive an annual salary of $50,000/year paid bi monthly. You will also receive compensation per event worked as 3% commission to total event price, with the intention to increase to 6% as responsibility increases. Subsidized healthcare and housing, vacation days, and sick days are available as well.
