The Field Services Project Scientist primary responsibilities are to collect environmental samples from ground, surface and wastewater sources as well as perform field water quality measurements using industry standard best practices and site-specific sampling protocols. Secondary responsibilities include equipment calibrations, maintenance & record keeping for purpose of invoicing. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate good communication skills with clients and on on-site facility personnel. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required. AS or BS degree highly preferred (Science and Engineering related fields ideal) or two years of field experience.
• Computer skills - Intermediate skill level of Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook
• Good verbal communication skills (Internally and with Clients and Regulators).
• Professional appearance and behavior at all times.
• Maintain positive attitude with ability to work well in groups.
• Must be able to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Flexibility: Must be available to work 40 plus hours as well as evenings and occasional Saturday or Sunday.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to meet physical demands such as:

• Prolonged standing or walking. Frequent bending, crouching, or stooping.
• Frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 75 pounds
• Climbing ladders and/or stairs
• Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
• Need to distinguish between shades of color
• Must be willing to work outdoors in industrial and natural environments
