BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic individual, preferably with a background centered on performing engineering support and logistics management operations that involve planning, executing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating logistics support for major DoD weapon system development and in service support.
BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic individual, self-motivated, preferably with US Navy (USN) background centered on USN weapons systems acquisition management, to join our team as an engineer providing support with engineering, engineering management, and programmatic support to the Fleet Support Director for the NATO SEASPARROW Surface Missile System (NSSMS) and its components within the NATO SEASPARROW Project Office (NSPO) in Arlington, VA.
Specific program elements include assist of Next Generation Launcher development and installation planning and management and logistic support, including the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process support.
Duties will include setting up meetings, follow up on action items, review of technical documentation, writing technical papers, and preparation of briefings and management reports.

Tasks

• Support programmatic processes and documentation to be successful with an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) acquisition approach.
• Assist NSPO in the execution of the NXGL prototype OTA contract and follow production contract planning.
• Assist with monitoring NXGL vendor performance through the use of an integrated master schedule, program budget, and other risk reduction activities.
• Develop and maintain Projects at the Project Server. Support training manager in the development of relative training courses. Assist in the conduct of milestone/ in process reviews.
• SETR Planning and Management. Assist in coordinating the development, production, and delivery of NXGL prototype equipment and supporting engineering technical services.
• Assist in lifecycle sustainment planning activities, such as site surveys, facility planning, and training, as appropriate.
• Assist in collaborating and communicating across NSPO divisions, Technical Warrant Holders, Combat System Program Offices, Ship Integration Program Managers, Lifecycle Management organizations, warfighter operational communities as appropriate.
• Work with budget and contract organizations to plan and execute funding documents.
• Assist briefing status to NSPO leadership on project progress.
• Identify and assess project strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Develop and monitor integration plans, briefs integration status at various reviews/major meetings.

Technical degree and 5 years related experience or no degree and 10 years related experience.

o Ability to interact with mid to senior level military officers from both the US and International Navies

• Knowledge:

o of project management, acquisition /budgetary and organizational functions, processes and principles.
o of naval organizational structures/interrelationships sufficient to manage, coordinate and/or integrate diverse program efforts.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57635 - $98018

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
