Job Description:

We are partnering with our client to assist with their search for a Director of IT Operations. Our client is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They work to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain, and empower parents, professionals, and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.

The Director of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT Department. The Director of IT Operations serves as a departmental manager for IT Infrastructure, operations, cost-optimization, and efficiency improvements. The Director of IT Operations will plan, design, and direct all operational activities of the IT Operations department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure including but not limited to: Network (wired internet/wifi), VOIP and video conferencing systems, IT hardware (servers, storage units, computers, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices), certain clinical or business-related applications and software.
  • Assess, implement, and manage best practices in information security and practice solutions for assigned systems and hardware including but not limited to role-based access, account re-certification, security risk assessments, data privacy controls and change control tracking.
  • Collaborate with IT and Business leadership in planning and implementing technology roadmaps.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining standard operating procedures across the IT Department including but not limited to: Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Incident & Crisis Management, Service Desk operations, and Change Management.
  • Manage the operational and capital budget for key aspects of the IT department including but not limited to system infrastructure, hardware, networks, security, and applications.
  • Establish key metrics for IT operations and infrastructure including ITSM ITIL based metrics for service management.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or relevant equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a senior IT position.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and/or policy & procedure development.
  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of network infrastructure technologies and cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, Hybrid Windows and MacOS endpoint environments, Cisco Networking equipment, Windows and Linux server environments, Cloud architecture (AWS) and server virtualization (VMWare).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Experience with managing subject matter experts and cross-functional IT professionals including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Self-starter, attentive to detail and team player able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $155,218 - $170,000annually. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.

Pay: $155,218.00 - $170,000.00 per year
