We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department. The Information Technology Director is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting both short- and long-term information technology plans for the Fulton County Medical Center. The Director creates and administers IT policies and procedures and audits information systems use for compliance and security. Information systems include various software and hardware equipment, telecommunications, web-based systems. The Director works closely with management to improve existing systems by reviewing users’ requests for changes, analyzing needs and budgets, and making recommendations for updates, replacements or enhancements. The Director supervises and directs the work of the IT department staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant equivalent hospital IT experience. At least 5 years experience in healthcare information technology with hands-on experience with hospital information systems, physician office practice, office, and financial-based software systems. Experience in computer networking, interfacing, and both hardware and software systems. Effective verbal and written communication skills to handle user concerns/questions, and interact with vendor’s service representatives and discuss and interpret IT and hospital policies to employees. Preferred: Meditech, project management and Supervisory experience.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
