A fast-paced and mission-focused health science marketing agency seeks a full-time Director of Content, Media, & PR to lead integrated communications and content efforts directed at helping our clients achieve their strategic goals.

As a meticulous architect of content plans, you’re always actively listening to develop a profound understanding of the client’s message. Whether transforming interviews with SMEs into compelling stories, recommending the most captivating content formats, or identifying PR opportunities and guiding them to the finish line, your strategy-driven approach and impeccable writing ensure results for your clients. You seamlessly collaborate with other SCORR departments to bring the content plan to life and effectively lead the PR & Media team, inspiring creativity and teamwork, all while bolstering the success of multiple clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute content strategies for SCORR clients, ensuring alignment with client marketing objectives and organizational goals
- Drive a content and thought leadership discipline throughout the SCORR organization, refining processes and approaches to ensure profitability
- Lead SCORR public relations efforts by identifying, developing, and executing thought leadership opportunities and public relations strategies
- Foster relationships with editors, advocacy groups, and industry associations; guide or execute PR pitching and events to publications to enhance thought leadership and visibility for SMEs
- Partner with client services teams to understand client marketing objectives and develop comprehensive content strategies, plans, and calendars
- Work with various SCORR service lines (market intelligence, social media, digital, copy, creative, marketing automation, PR, media, web, etc.) to develop content and delivery plans, support PR plan development, and integrate with other tactical plans
- Measure and utilize KPIs and various data to inform content recommendations
- Determine and recommend the best content formats (infographics, blogs, white papers, case studies, etc.) to achieve objectives
- Translate data, trends, and clinical/medical information into engaging stories
- Stay current on AP Style, grammatical trends, and client styles; take ownership of your work, proofreading copy and checking for accuracy
- Lead the PR & Media team and mentor other teammates, fostering creativity, collaboration, and teamwork within the communications team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism/advertising/communications, English, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience
- Prior management experience
- Proven experience in content strategy and thought leadership
- Excellent copy writing skills
- Excellent relationship-building skills with editors, advocacy groups, and industry associations
- Strong analytical skills to measure KPIs and inform content recommendations
- Exceptional storytelling abilities and editorial standards
- Leadership and mentorship experience within a team
- M&A communications experience
- Crisis communication experience
- Strong client service skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Muck Rack and HubSpot
- B2B marketing experience, especially within the life science industry
- Marketing agency experience
- Familiarity with AP Style

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
