Digital Marketing Specialist

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you’ll develop diverse promotional and automated digital marketing campaigns to help fuel growth at the ministry. You’ll help drive engagement across platforms and campaigns to support Ligonier’s mission to proclaim, teach, and defend the holiness of God in all its fullness to as many people as possible.

You’ve got a degree in marketing, business, or similar; but, what sets you apart from others is your passion for reaching people with the truth of God’s Word. Your strong grasp of current digital marketing tools and strategies is crucial. Your experience managing high volumes of paid digital campaigns concurrently will serve you well. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be vital as you work closely with others to ensure marketing activities are accurate, timely, and effective.

In this role, you will

  • Develop, launch, and optimize digital marketing campaigns for various organizational goals including digital reach, lead generation, and donor acquisition.
  • Map, measure, and monitor Ligonier onboarding and nurture email campaigns.
  • Report and advise on the analytics of our various online initiatives to ensure the ministry is continuing to make improvements on engagement across all marketing tech platforms.
  • Plan digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display and PPC advertising, ensuring the right message is delivered to the right audience at the right time.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing managers, production managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the digital expression of all campaigns is executed well and on-time.
  • Work as primary point of contact with third party vendors to scope new advertising initiatives and monitor approved digital advertising campaigns.
  • Develop quality control measures for content deployment, and ensures any identified issues are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Champion for best practices in the development, implementation, and execution of all activities.
  • Help facilitate meetings and other projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Experience with Meta Business Manager and Google Ads
  • Experience with automated email platforms such as Marketo, HubSpot, or similar systems
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS desired
  • An interest in marketing, technology, and the intersection of the two
  • Familiarity with task management suites, such as Airtable, Asana, Monday, Omnifocus, TeamWork, or similar solution
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfort in both a Windows and a Mac environment (Mac preferred)
  • Comfortable using cloud-based software
  • Ability to affirm the Ligonier Ministries General Statement of Faith

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing

This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Central Florida. While the role is suitable for a remote environment, occasional travel throughout the year is required.

The pay range for this position is $55,00 - $65,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
