Job Description:

Sodexo has an exciting opening for a Digital Marketing Project Manager with our Digital Content and Marketing Teams in the North American Region.

 

This is a remote role with the preferred candidate residing in the Eastern or Central time zones.


Reporting to the Director, Project Management on the Digital Marketing & Content team in North America, the Digital Marketing Project Manager designs and provides accountability on regional, brand, and segment (i.e., industry/market verticals) digital campaign and creative projects by building project plans with tasks, milestones, and timelines, aligning resources, managing expectations, and ensuring projects are completed within timelines and budgets, negotiating adjustments and tradeoffs when necessary. Build relationships, manage engagement and provide excellent service to team colleagues and internal stakeholders in other departments to ensure quality, on-time delivery to meet established goals, and scope of multiple, concurrent projects. If project delays or scope changes are anticipated, implement processes and prepare contingencies to complete tasks, figure out what’s holding up projects, communicate with project stakeholders, and ensure goals and project scope requirements are met.


The successful applicant will help lead some of our largest digital marketing and communications projects to create user experiences and deliverables that drive action. You will be a strategic leader and bring a digital-first perspective, to effectively identify and manage project phases and resources for excellent, engaging content that inspires action among audiences and drives results. Experience as a Creative Traffic Manager or applying Agile in a marketing or creative environment is a plus. You will work to develop and own project planning and management metrics to help the team deliver. Seek to evolve processes as identified and foster a culture of continuous improvement and a collaborative environment.


The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and manage marketing, communications, and creative projects through all phases of the life cycle, including project initiation, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation review.
  • Plan large projects and manage all projects: setup projects on internal systems, set stakeholder expectations, assign resources and deliverables, set task priorities, and establish timelines to ensure all projects are delivered on time and have excellent delivery to meet goals and expectations.
  • Review projects briefs to ensure the requestor provides all necessary information prior to bringing creative or marketing team members together for kickoff, for large projects, or handoff, for small projects.
  • Identify and assign tasks, resources, deliverables, and timelines, in coordination with department leads, for approved project requests using in content and project management platforms.
  • Coordinate and oversee digital campaign and content projects and lead a cross-functional team involving internal staff of writers, designers, digital marketing specialists, channel/platform managers, and publishers.
  • Establish, maintain and enforce deadlines for deliverables of assets, ensuring we have critical information and assets from stakeholders, keeping them up to date on status.
  • Clearly communicate with creative, marketing, communications, and production teams and internal business partners to ensure scope of project is clearly defined and understood, project status, updates, reviews and feedback are provided, and any scope-creep or delays are managed and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships through communication with team members and internal business partners, including pro-actively obtaining and sharing feedback along the way and applying to future projects.
  • Manage final asset delivery and storage to ensure they availability for team and global/regional business partner use.
  • Lead project kick-offs, interim status meetings, and project debriefs with and seek feedback from execution and business partner teams so we can all continuously learn from and improve our deliverables and collaboration.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve our internal tools, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and impact, updating internal documentation and suite of tools, and rolling out to/training all users.

Is this the right opportunity for you? We are looking for candidates that have/are:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience, preferably with at least 2 years in an agency setting and/or managing digital marketing campaign and creative projects and teams.
  • Possess strong project management skills; be well-organized and detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects, resources, and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, matrixed environment juggling multiple projects and internal business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver digital campaign and content projects on time, in budget, and within scope.
  • Strong technical understanding and experience working with digital experiences with demonstrated ability working with designers and developers.
  • Patient, strategic, solutions-focused, and able to remain calm under pressure, especially when problems arise.
  • Strong intuition and judgment – always one step ahead and able to make decisions that balance team, internal partners, and company needs.
  • Experience working with Project Management and Content Management/Marketing Tools (e.g. Welcome/Optimizely, Kapost), as well as a range of digital technologies like Content Management Systems (CMS), CRMs, and digital analytics tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
