Sanametrix is a minority-owned small business headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. We specialize in providing focused research and analysis, technology, and program support solutions to social science and scientific-oriented federal agencies. We are looking for a mid-level Development/Operations Engineer to join our team to support a highly visible program for a federal civilian agency. Position is 100% remote and requires exceptional communication, technical and collaboration skills.
Duties
This position will be responsible for supporting a large AWS-based infrastructure for a major program for a federal civilian agency. Duties include, but are not limited to, integration, migration, organizational development, security, and operations. The position will work with developers, program support staff and cybersecurity professionals to create a secure ecosystem throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Interactions will include:
· Lead all DevOps operations and maintenance activities for the assigned project, including interacting with clients to communicate requirements or updates.
· Facilitating communication and collaboration between development, program, and operations teams.
· Management of code and application migrations.
· Assisting in risk analyses and other security processes to include monitoring security processes, such as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
· Implementing security controls, policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance
· Risk management: Identifying and prioritizing potential risks and vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate them
· Coordinating Incident management
· Testing, selection and implementation of technologies, tools and working methods
· Maintenance of the system
· Control and management of security operations
· Leading and support application integrations across platform
Required Skills, Qualifications, Certifications:
· Bachelor of Science in a related field and 5-8 years relevant experience is required.
· Hold or able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
· Proficiency designing, implementing and maintaining Amazon Web Services environments
· Experience supporting operation and maintenance activities in cloud environments
· Experience using Octopus Deploy and TeamCity can work together to establish an automated and continuous delivery process.
· Strong understanding of SDLC
· Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills, Qualifications, Certifications:
· Experience working in a complex and multidimensional federal civilian agency.
· AWS architect certification
