The Development Manager is responsible for effectively executing a range of fundraising operations in collaboration with the Director of Development. This role will be charged with maintaining all aspects of the customer relationship management (CRM) database, Bloomerang, which includes acknowledging all gifts, maximizing the effectiveness of the software, and helping our team to track, analyze, and report fundraising activities under the directives of the Director of Development. The Development Manager will also oversee a portfolio of grant applications to foundation and corporate entities, manage fundraising campaigns, grow peer-to-peer fundraising, and strengthen stewardship efforts. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain grant calendar.
- Complete grant applications with the assistance of the Director of Development, ensuring the application clearly conveys the organization’s mission and programs.
- Build relationships with grantors and funding agencies through stewardship efforts.
- Draft fundraising communications, including appeals, acknowledgements, and invitations.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with target partners, organizations, corporations, and individuals to successfully achieve revenue goals.
- Create and implement a meaningful peer-to-peer fundraising strategy to expand donor relationships through various initiatives such as Women Build or school & youth 3rd party fundraising efforts.
- Establish policies and procedures for the use of Bloomerang, the current CRM system of Habitat MontDelco.
- Support the development team in implementing, tracking, and analyzing constituent profiles entered in the database, to ensure that all manners of interaction with our affiliate are captured (donations, volunteerism, event attendance, etc.).
- Complete, submit, and monitor applications for workplace campaigns, and employer matching gifts-this includes but is not limited to sharing appropriate information with donors about the possibility of a corporate matching gift, & providing donors with appropriate information and guidance to make the match process as effortless as possible.
- Lead development reporting, helping the development staff access donor information as needed to support the overall development plan and the needs of the board and volunteer committees. Reporting will include standard monthly reporting, reconciling with the accounting team, data analytics to drive development team strategy and others as needed.
- Oversee gift entry and acknowledgment process, ensuring letters are donor-centric and mailed in a timely manner.
- Research & compile potential leads for funders, donors, corporate entities, or volunteers.
- Assist in the performance of cost-benefit/ROI analysis of new development team initiatives & pilots.
- Support the HFH MontDelco Leadership Team in other projects/events as needed.

- Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar (Bloomerang would be preferred).

EDUCATION:
EXPERIENCE:
- Three-five years of fundraising and at least one year of grant writing experience.
- A track record of success in meeting revenue goals and developing meaningful relationships with individuals, foundations, corporations, schools, and faith-based organizations.
- Experience using CRM systems in a nonprofit setting required.
