This position will work closely with our Director of Product Design & Development in product design, development and production of our Original Design furniture, lighting, and home accessories.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced design professional with who has worked in luxury furniture, lighting or interior architecture and design with an appreciation for hand made things and the craft of making. The candidate must be detail oriented with minimum 5 years’ experience having worked specifically with development of custom furniture, lighting and having worked and communicated with artisans and manufacturers. AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft office experience is required. 3D modeling proficiency a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with design team on Original Designs furniture, lighting, and accessory drawings.

-Lead in cross department communication and tracking of new products and Original Designs product line expansion.

- Work with Design team with design improvements across all Original Design products

- Work with Director Product Design and Development in new product set up and launch in conjunction with Marketing and Editorial team

- Lead in communication with manufacturers for new product development

- Lead in research for new manufacturer partners for product resourcing projects

- Lead in communicating updates to and auditing Original Designs product merchandising on web and in store including but not limited to web pages, tear sheets, and sales tools.

- Liaise with Director Product Design and Development and VM team with store floor model displays and planning.

- Manage store sales tool inventory including but not limited to wood, metal, stone, fabric and leather samples

- Original Designs furniture, lighting and accessory quality control for ongoing orders

- Field technical product questions from Fulfillment & Sales Team, liaise with VP of Product Design & Development as necessary

- Support Fulfillment manager in fulfillment of Made to Order Furniture

-Manage Customer Care issues from action through final resolution in partnership with manufacturers, logistics and sales team. Track in master spreadsheet.

- Liaise with graphics team on private label product packaging development
