Role: Data Compliance and Vendor Management- Program Manager.
Location: Remote, US
Prioritize the security and privacy of customer data by enforcing robust compliance frameworks. Oversee vendor relationships to ensure they meet stringent data protection standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to internal data governance, security protocols, and all relevant data privacy regulations.
Collaborate extensively with Security, IT, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to embed data protection principles throughout internal customer-facing operations and vendor engagements.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor adherence to data protection requirements across all systems and processes that handle customer data.
* Oversee the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring thorough assessment of their data handling practices and implementation of necessary security and compliance measures.
* Develop, maintain, and enforce vendor compliance with internal data governance policies, security protocols, and applicable data privacy regulations.
* Conduct and support risk assessments, with a primary focus on identifying and mitigating data security, privacy, and compliance risks associated with both customer data and vendor access.
* Manage and track compliance documentation related to customer data handling and vendor agreements, including data processing agreements, security questionnaires, and audit reports.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Security, IT, Compliance, Legal, Procurement) to implement and maintain data protection requirements for customer data and vendors.
* Monitor ongoing compliance with data security and privacy obligations for both customer data and vendors, identifying and addressing potential risks or breaches.
* Assist with internal and external audits related to customer data handling practices and vendor compliance.
Qualifications:
* 1-3 years of experience in program management, data compliance, data privacy, information security, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on customer data protection.
* Experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring their compliance with data protection requirements is highly desirable.
* Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with experience in managing data-related compliance documentation for both customer and vendor data.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams to address data security and compliance issues related to customer data and vendors.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to data risk management, with a focus on customer data privacy.
