High school diploma or GED; one year of direct customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Basic working knowledge of the criminal justice system and considerable skill in verbal and written communication. Must be able to operate a personal computer and related standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel). Ability to deal calmly with highly emotional or stressful situations and interact with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and of varying ages. While not required, individuals with fluent English/Spanish bilingual skills are strongly encouraged to apply. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
