Responsible for the development and administration of an effective 15-month Credit Development Program (“CDP”) for the bank.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Assist Relationship Managers with the distribution of workload for the pre-credit analysis function on credit relationships.
- Assist with promotion of CDP analyst to Credit Analyst II and/or designated career path
- Manage any behavioral conflicts that arise in employees
- Periodic travel to other markets for CDP development and training
- Create and maintain budget for the CDP cost center
- Maintain office space which includes ordering office supplies, beverages, and any additional equipment needed for credit analyst in training room and/or respective markets
- Manage training schedule, meet and greets with bank wide teams, and extended culture day itinerary and schedule
- Provide all necessary training on loan systems, spreading software, financial statement analysis, credit policy and credit underwriting
- Provide training in structuring credits, assessing covenants, and monitoring procedures
- Provide training in file explorer, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and any other application utilized during underwriting
- Review CDP underwriting assignments
- Maintain Credit Mentorship Program which includes assigning Credit Mentors to each credit analyst based off a 6-month rotation period, periodically meeting with each Credit Mentor to discuss each analysts progression, and hosting quarterly Credit Mentor calls to review any changes or additional to Credit Mentors duties and responsibilities
- Maintain lending Mentorship Program which includes pairing credit analyst with a Commercial Relationship Banker for the life of their time as a Credit Analyst I
- Obtain feedback on CDP underwriting work from Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers
- Responsible for obtaining a pipeline of prospective candidates which includes: consistently communicating with Universities in regards to career fairs and banking program memberships; travel to and attend Universality career fairs, board meetings, lunches and formal dinners within the bank’s footprint
- Work with HR recruiters in hiring Credit Analyst I’s which includes screening candidates, conducting interviews via zoom, and coordinate in-person interviews with market presidents and/or market representatives
- Coordinate extended stay housing for analyst outside Houston market
- Oversee credit analyst onboarding experience and communicate all need to know information prior to start date

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, Accounting or Finance degree preferred; minimum 10 years credit administration experience in the banking/financial industry required.
