EXCITED TO GROW YOUR CAREER? WE’RE GLAD YOU’RE HERE! This Content Writer serves as primary writer for Maritz’ external facing go-to-market strategy and marketing plan. In this role you will have the opportunity to write and produce various types of B2B marketing content to expand our digital footprint, awareness, and generate marketing leads.

This is a hybird role located in our Fenton, MO headquarters. Primary Responsibilities Content Creation (70%): Write & produce B2B marketing artifacts based on editorial calendar to drive leads and meet the needs of our audience. Create varying types of content such as (blogs, ebooks, white papers, email campaigns, paid ad copy, social posts, infographics, guides, templates, website copy, SEO writing, scripts, event collateral, pitch decks, etc.).

Works closely with internal experts (product, marketing, client strategy, sales) to source knowledge that becomes the basis for content. Manages day to day execution of content and works with the Digital Marketing team to publish into appropriate channels. Special writing for sales enablement or content projects as needed. Content Strategy (15%): Work closely with product teams and internal/external contacts to gain a deep understanding of the Maritz solution offerings including the target buyer persona, pain points, product features overview, value proposition, and messaging, creating relevant content across the stages of the buyer journey.

Manages review and iteration process through to completed asset. Ability to self-direct and make strategic content decisions. Analysis/Reporting (15%): Monitor content metrics including engagement, download, and web visits on an ongoing basis. Analyze data, share what tactics are successful, and offer recommendations for optimization. Qualifications BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or journalism, or equivalent working experience.

Four to six years experience producing marketing content – such as articles, white papers, product sheets, brochures, ebooks, emails, infographics and case studies required. Proven experience developing and managing editorial calendars and multiple priorities. Ability to work independently yet also effective in a collaborative environment. A dual-minded approach: highly creative and an excellent writer while also being process-driven and rely on data to make decisions. Understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement highly preferred.
