Roles and Responsibilities
- The Technical Writer is responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Author publish and manage knowledge base content. Plan and write support content that easy to find use and understand. Work closely with leads project managers designers and partners from Engineering Product and Program teams. Identify content gaps and propose logical ways to solve them based on data.
- Synthesize content requests and data from multiple sources into cohesive
- content plans. Participate in the Writing teams efforts to establish style and process guidelines and make recommendations to help the team choose good tools for writing and
- publishing documentation.
- Plan execute and publish comprehensive documentation to support product
- releases. The position researches products services technology or concepts gathers
- information interviews SMEs to document in easily understandable language by a broad audience. Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest
- reader comprehension. Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. Meet with subject matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy
- procedure and form documentation.
- Edit clarify and proofread documents written by others. Work with product stakeholders to identify audience information requirements and important documentation deliverables.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of product documentation design and
- implementation. Build and maintain a resource of aids for users that go beyond traditional documentation such as online video demos and other educational techniques. Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging and understood by users
- A strong understanding of how web services work in general. Experience with source code written in Java Cplus plus Golang Python and or JavaScript.
- 5 to10 years of experience in technical product documentation. Experience working with a variety of methodologies for helping and educating users Proficiency in extracting subject matter expert knowledge and communicating it in a meaningful way. Experience with consuming and writing API documentation. A passion for understanding customers needs and delivering world class content
- Excellent planning organizational and execution skills with an ability to manage
- multiple competing priorities in a fast paced constantly changing environment
- Knowledge of technical writing standards and ability to adhere to a style guide
- A track record of excellent communication and cooperation preferably in a global and culturally diverse organization. Excellent writing skills and the ability to make complex topics easy and engaging
- Experience developing content in an Agile environment Knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP cookies
- An understanding of what a developer would want to see in documentation for APIs A strong understanding of how web services work in general Having domain knowledge in the below areas is a strong plus. Dimensional Modeling Data Warehousing Data filtering views materialized views and defining data schemas metadata data slices.
- Understanding of ETL jobs pipelines in core Java and Python similar to Clarinet
- Replicator Having Cloud identity and access management Data Security provisioning and monitoring services.
