TITLE: Solar Construction Manager/Project Manager

LOCATION: North East (Preferably PA/NY/CT)

COMPENSATION: Based Upon Experience -$160,000-$180,000+ Health Coverage, 401k and Competitive Bonus

Position Overview

My client is a developer, owner operator that develops and constructs community and utility scale solar projects across the US but with a core focus on NY, PEN, VA, MN.

They, have shifted their focus on the development side from developing to sell community solar projects at NTP, to now developing to own and operate in the utility scale markets and community scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all phases of solar project development.
• Ensure projects meet high standards, budget constraints, and deadlines.
• Handle contractor bids to secure timely project awards.
• Manage negotiations
• Lead and mentor construction professionals for efficient project execution.
• Implement strict quality assurance protocols to meet industry benchmarks.
• Develop and oversee project budgets, controlling expenses.
• Enforce regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
• Create and maintain project schedules, addressing any delays.
• Manage materials and equipment procurement for cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate potential construction risks.
• Maintain accurate project records and reports.
• Ensure proper project completion and handover.

Qualifications

• BA in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Solar, specifically 10MW-40MW Projects
• Experience on the Owners Representative side, but background in Construction Management preferred
• Project Management experience (Budgets, Contracts)
• Familiar with codes and standards
• Willingness to travel (50% home, 50% projects)
• Professional Certificates
• Overall substantial experience in the renewable energy market, relating to financial models.
