Catering & Delivery Manager
Role Description:
This role entails elevating our catering and delivery services by promoting our services, both on and off-site, engaging with both existing and new clients, ensuring sales growth, maintaining a commitment to excellence in service, and effectively managing a dedicated catering team.
Additionally, this position involves collaborating with the Food & Beverage team to contribute to the development of offerings and pricing, as well as setting standards for in-restaurant catering, delivery and related training.
Reporting directly to our Director of Operations and working in close collaboration with the restaurant team to ensure efficient execution, this role is centered on generating sales and fostering partnerships, retaining our current clientele, and attracting new business opportunities through program expansion.
It is a hands-on position encompassing the preparation, execution, and service of catering orders, along with event oversight.
This role embodies our Conscious Therhappy and serves as an authentic brand ambassador.
Key Responsible areas:
- Develop and cultivate catering clientele and client database o Effectively communicate with potential and repeat clients o Close the loop and manage post-services surveys o Actively seek new sales prospects and partnership opportunities.
- Lead daily catering operations and logistics o Manage all catering-related email correspondence and online ordering requests o Handle managerial aspects of the business such as contracts and invoices o Assess client requirements and provide tailored catering options o Coordinate events while oversee food, equipment and services preparations o Coordinate in restaurant and offsite events for clients o Coordinate logistics with catering team members, Operations team and restaurant GM’s o Maintain inventory o Execute, deliver and serve our catering orders
- Train, supervise and coach catering team o Accountable for catering staff performance
- Management of delivery platforms o Coordinate instore o Provide proper training and support o Day-to-day management (disputes, marketing set up, contracts overview and logistical issues on all delivery platforms) o Program development
o Generate comprehensive reports o Identify areas for improvement and implementation
- Participate with marketing team to brand awareness events, local marketing actions and partners events
- Assume responsibility for all catering and delivery reporting, encompassing sales, growth, menu analysis, and P&L
- Continuously identify areas of opportunity, think of new and out-of-the-box initiatives to promote our services
Skills and requirements
- This position is an onsite salaried position
- Flexibility and reactivity, able to work flexible hours (mornings, evenings, weekends)
- Excellent time management skills
- Previous catering and special events preferred
- Minimum 2 years in a similar position (sales or commission-based position)
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in customer service.
- High organizational and logistical skills
- IT curious
- Food Handlers card mandatory
- Comfortable with Microsoft suite (Excel, word, Outlook, Sharepoint)
- Familiarity with various delivery platforms (Toast, Restaurant 365,
Sharebites, all delivery platforms) is a significant plus.
