Job Description:

As a Boiler Refrigeration Mechanic, you will report to the Senior Engineer onsite at our Marshall, MO manufacturing facility.

What impact will you have on our business?

  • Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/components on plant and production equipment
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks, as well as, read blueprints, drawing and plans.
  • Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia and other refrigerants.
  • Perform daily check of all refrigeration systems.
  • Replace, repair and maintain all energy systems, boilers, ammonia systems, coolers, air compressors, HVAC systems and apparatus.
  • Clean evaporators and condensers as scheduled, change recorder charts and maintain recording equipment.
  • Monitor, repair, and clean plant systems, water condensers, evaporators, dump traps, accumulators, sight glasses, and filtration systems.
  • Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order
  • Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to provide a continuous production operation.
  • Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment
  • You will use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and test parts/equipment on plant and production equipment
  • Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machinary

Do you have what it takes?

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Vocational tech training in machine maintenance.
  • Carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Familiar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch and basic hand tools
  • Electrical experience
