Auditing/Accounting Expert - TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Auditing/Accounting Expert for an exciting opportunity within our Intel Community. As an Auditing/Accounting Expert, you will join a team responsible for industry outreach, providing account delivery expertise in a wide range of accounting and audit-related advisory services. You will help federal agencies ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and government requirements pertaining to financial reporting and internal control. In addition, the Accounting/Auditing Expert will assist the agency in developing and providing best practices to increase integrity of financial data, streamline flow of information from upfront process to financial information, and implement mechanisms to analyze data in support of informed business decisions and audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

In detail, you will support federal agency financial operations by:

• Providing financial management (FM) expertise and guidance in FM processes, systems, and applications in the areas of auditing, internal control, and financial reporting.

• Developing accrual methodologies and provision of accounting interpretations for various business process scenarios

• Gathering and documenting business requirements to increase integrity of financial data, streamline flow of information from upfront process to financial reporting

• Analyzing accounting data in support of informed business decisions and audit requirements

Required Qualifications to be Successful in the Role:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance

• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in federal financial management with at least five (5) years of experience with one or more of the Intelligence Community (IC) members or experience working with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) specifically related to cover and classified requirements.

• Extensive knowledge of the federal financials processes, directives, instructions, program guidance documents, and milestone processes including OMB Circular A-123, Management's Responsibility for Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control, OMB Circular A-136, Financial Reporting Requirements, and OMB Circular A-11, Preparation, Submission and Execution of the Budget

• Problem solver along with ability to multitask

• Prior consulting experience in any of the following areas:

o Business process improvement,

o Financial management policies and procedures,

o Work independently and across many initiatives at once

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with CI or Full Scope Polygraph as determined by the government

• Active TS/SCI with CI poly required per government stipulation

Desired:

Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) desired but not required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,590 to $225,060.00.
