GTT is looking for a quick learning and highly motivated individual to perform hand on lab work. This position will report to VP of R&D or Senior/Principal Chemist. The right person will be passionate about eliminating water pollution caused by textile processes and has the knowledge and skills to extract insights and explore opportunities for improvements testing data.

Position Expectations:

· Perform a variety of hand-on routine laboratory tasks and carry out chemistry experiments such as compounding, coating, testing independently and under supervision, in support of the conduct of normal laboratory operations.

· Must be able to be multitasked.

· Adhere to all safety and lab procedures as well as company policies. Maintain and improve the safety and lab organization.

· Execute standard operating procedures and be able to keep detailed, organized records and complete the required documentation for the associated tests.

· Must be able to effectively use laboratory equipment after initial training.

· Must be able to execute various cleaning procedures used in the laboratory and be able to work with chemicals such as solvents, dyes…...

· Must well document experiments such as materials, formulation, procedure, results, and observations.

· Work in the chemistry lab closely with other scientist/engineers as a team according to assignment.

Personal Qualifications:

· Diligent and motivated.

· Enjoys learning, challenges and problem solving.

· Adequate communication and quantitative skills.

· Solid organizational and record-keeping skills.

· Detailed oriented.

· A good team player with excellent interpersonal skill.

Technical Qualifications:

· BA/BS in Chemistry, chemical engineering, or affiliated majors

· Knowledge of chemistry principles and methods with the ability to interpret results and an ability to communicate effectively.

· Good problem-solving skills, the ability to think out of the box, and be able to follow the product development processes.

· Proficient computer skills are must.

· Experience with textile process is strongly preferred.

· Lab experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
