Join our trusted healthcare client's team as an Assistant Program Director. This full-time role involves managing social service delivery, overseeing staff, and ensuring effective program services for homeless or formerly homeless populations.
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $75,000 - $82,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Assistant Program Director:
- Program Management: Oversee social service delivery, including staff supervision and training.
- Staff Supervision: Manage 4-6 direct reports.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with external partners, government, and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
- Service Delivery: Ensure individuals are linked to case management and make referrals for psychiatric assessment and treatment.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams, including outreach teams, safe haven sites, and the Central Intake Unit.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on outcomes and goals.
- On-Call: Some after-hours on-call duties required.
Qualifications for the Assistant Program Director:
- Education: NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) required; must obtain LMSW within first six months.
- Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience (24/7 programs and homeless populations experience preferred).
- Skills: Strong clinical understanding of service delivery concepts, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction models.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Access-based databases.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license required.
